Annotate two original images on the website:
happy and childish stickers on her-contradicting to her facial expression which are aggressive and moody
The outfit and the purple is also contrasting to her face, the songs in the album and the name in the album
The stickers on her face consists of flowers, suns, ice creams and other small child stickers
All a stickers are seen as sweet foods but the albums called sour
She is the only object/focus in the picture
Still girly like the previous photo
Pink is the dominant colour within the image
Yet again she is the centre point of the image
There’s fairy light is in background creating a slight bokue effect with the light/background
Pink is also the predominant lighting colour however the only colour on her face is a golden light that is over exposed
Her hair is holding up the balloons- abstract
List conventions of website design you can see:
Logo placement is where it’s commonly placed (the left hand side of the menu bar)
The logo is just her initials and is very fun, bubbly and almost child like
The menu bar is hand written adding a personalized feel
On the right hand side of the menu bar she has all her social media accounts linked for easy access
The link styling is simplistic, the titles, links and written information are all in black but normal the title is in a different colour to draw attention to it
Her main three colours are black, white and purple
Annotate the title and logo for the band/artist’s webpage:
She has just had a new documentary come out about the making of her album sour so her new merch is the firs thing that appears on the website
Her most popular song ‘Drivers License’ has the “driving home 2 u” in so that’s why the name of the merch and film is called that
The main three colours of purple, white and black are all shown, purple being the predominant colour
Her fonts are all hand written fonts to make it personal
Their isn’t any big title delivering who she is or a photo of herself (nit fully identifying the artist)
Annotate the menu bar:
The menu bar is made up of ripped paper (possibly symbolising song writing paper)
Her main title is in the left hand corner of the menu bar
Her main title isn’t her first name its only her initials and it isn’t her most known logo
In the middle she has her main section of the website in a hand written font
To the left she has all of her social media’s and links to where you can find her music (self promotion)
If applicable, annotate the text introducing the band/artist:
She has a self written bio as the first part underneath her recent advertisement for her merch
Her bio is very personal
The language she uses within it is clokwheeled and somewhat informal making it more direct to the reader
She explains her story and how thankful she is for her fans
She also explains her passion for music
Next to her written bio she has a phot of herself which is the first seen picture of her on her website
Find examples of a range of appropriate media language techniques (typography, images, fonts, backgrounds, logos etc.) as appropriate to the purpose of the website:
A lot of her following is teenage girls/females so she will be doing a lot to apply to the female audience
A very popular symbol nowadays is a butterfly so you see a lot of them across her work
It tends to be filled with hearts and fun, large bubbly fonts as she is using her website and the art within it to express herself as an artists
She treats her webpage almost like a craft book- the photos are shown as Polaroids and stuck to the screen with purple marking tape, her fonts are all hand written and her headers are all made up of ripped paper
She likes to follow quiet a retro vibe as an artists and this is seen through her style of website
